Result on Child labour
The microcredit program in Bangladesh leads to an increase in child labour. This increase in child labour is due to a rise in new opportunities for children to work in household self-employment activities. Treated households with fewer working adults use more child labour and spend less on education.
Other results
Children from treated areas spend signicantly less time studying.
