Result on Child labour

There is evidence that the program contributed to a broad-based decline in child labour, especially among younger children (12-14) in Mexico. The overall contribution of this program to the 8 percentage point fall in child labour observed over this period is estimated to be around 7 percent.

Other results

The increase in school attendance was more pronounced than falls in child labour in response to Oportunidades.
